Cary and Morrisville went up in identifiable waves, and each one carries its own assumptions about how a household uses space. The 1990s stock put its square footage into formal rooms and a paneled study off the entry. The post-2000 building west of town opened the plan up and pushed the lot sizes out. The infill going into the old downtown grid answers to neither. Those assumptions age at different rates, which is why the same renovation keeps appearing on the same floor plans across a whole subdivision. These pieces look at what actually got built here, what owners keep changing about it, and which of those changes a buyer will pay for later.
